What does the campsite do for the environement
Water saving: 80% of electronic or temporized faucets, 30% of the irrigation water is not potable, 40% of the wc network is not potable, 20% of the grass area is american grammage that has less need of water. Regular meter readings to detect abnormal consumption.
Electricity saving: Energy-saving lamps, automatic turn lights off, metal halide lamps, LED lamps (55%). Regular meter readings to detect abnormal consumption.
Recycling: Paper and paperboard, glass, packages, batteries, furniture, mineral oils, vegetable oils, fluorescent lamps, garden waste, etc …
Cleaning products: Environmentally friendly products.
Light pollution: Turning off and/or reduction of lights from 23h. Using screens to not enlighten to the sky.
Environmental pollution: Planting grass (american grammage), which grows slowly, allows to mowing in more spaced intervals reducing fuel consumption and eliminate fertilizer use. Annual review of combustion of hot water boilers.
Phytosanitary treatments: It is only done when necessary, in affected areas and using authorized and specific products for the problem. No generic products are used and certainly not in a systematic way.
What can you do for the environment
Water: Use all you need but no more than you need. Do not accumulate water in cans neither carafes.
Electricity saving: Use energy-saving lamps, turn off unnecessary electronic gadgets, close windows and doors when the heating or air conditioning works.
Recycling: Use the established points in the campsite to recycle paper and cardboard, glass, , batteries, packages and camping furniture. Bring your used vegetable oil (cooking) to the collection point in the snack-bar or in the supermarket. For other materials, use the local municipal recycling point.
Light pollution: Turn off and/or reduce you the lights from 23h. Use screens to not enlighten to the sky and not to disturb neighboring plots.
Environmental pollution: Do not discharge dirty water neither contaminants (oils, gasoline, soap, etc.) to the ground. Recycle them properly.
